Glamourous Side of Scrapping 2nd Blogiversary Hop - Day 1

We are celebrating ASHLEY'S Blogiversary!

If you arrived here from Amber's blog you are in the right spot.  If not, please start at Ashley's blog so you don't miss out on any fun projects along the way.

Ashley asked us to create a card that was any of the following themes:
     Clean and Simple
     Kraft Cardstock
     Faux Stitching
     Paper Piecings
     Shape

I'm a Clean and Simple kind of gal so I created this card:

I broke into my scrap stash to create this simple card.  (sorry for the poor picture quality)  I cut a square that was 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches, then cut it diagonally.  Then I punched a strip of coordinating card stock, adhered to the patterned paper and attached to the card base.  Then I trimmed the edges and stamped my sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today, be sure to stop by tomorrow to see what I've designed.

Halloween Party Decor Blog Hop

Welcome to the Halloween Party Decor Blog Hop.

If you arrived here from Ashley's blog you are in the right place.  If not, please start at the beginning with our fantastic hostess Shannon.

I made some cupcake picks using a scallop punch and the Art Philosophy cartridge from Close to My Heart to cut the photo corners.  I inked the edges of the corner punches and adhered them to the back of the scallop punch, staggering them.  Then I added googly eyes and a popcicle stick to the back.  I will put them in the cupcakes on party day!

I also made some treat boxes.  I created the same spiders as above and I used the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut out the pillow boxes from halloween paper.  Filled them with treats and topped with a cute little spider!

You can't have a party without a banner....so I created this banner using the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the scallop circles and photo corners, then assembled as I did above.  Then I taped the to a piece of twine to create the banner.

Fall Home Decor Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Fall Home Decor Blog Hop.

If you arrived here from Judy's blog you are in the right spot.  If you just happend to drop in, please start at the beginning at Shannon's blog.

This is the time of year when the leaves are turning colors, the weather is getting cooler and is one of my favorite times of the year.  I enjoy decorating for Fall so I created this Pumpkin "Tower".

I had the little green bucket and used a dowel to adhere the cardboard circles to.  I just painted the circles orange and added a face to create the pumpkins.  Then I tied on some scraps of ribbon, put some stones in the bucket to hold the dowel up and there you have it.  I love this cute little decoration that fits very nicely in the corner of the counter in my bathroom.

Thanks for hopping with us today.

Double Zig Zag Card

Just sharing a unique card with you.  This double zig zag card is easier to make than it looks.

I started with 2 pieces of card stock cut at 6 inches by 10 inches.  I scored each one at 2, 4 and 6 inches.  (be sure to score from the left on one and from the right on the other)  I then cut the diagnonal starting at 2 1/4 inches from the bottom and going to 1/4 inch from the last score mark.

At this point you can use an edge punch along the diagonal cut.  Now cut the flap from the right side. I cut leaving 3/4 inches around the perimeter. Ink all edges and folds.

Adhere the right side onto the left side. Be sure you don't adhere down the center flap.

For the band I cut a piece of cardstock 2 inches by 12 inches.  I punched along both long sides and inked the edges.  Score at 1 7/8 inches, 2 inches, 4 inches and 4 1/8 inches.  Fold and adhere together to make band.

Now your card is ready to decorate.

Attach patterned paper as desired.  You could stamp your sentiment or place a photograph on the top of the flap.  I added a thin strip of patterned paper and a flower to the band.

Stamp your sentiment under the flap.  Or you could tuck in a gift card here.

And this is my finished project.

Thank you for stopping by.

Happy Scrapping
