BACK IN ACTION

I didn't realize just how long it's been since I've been on here.  Life has really taken me on a roller coaster ride!  But I'm on the upswing and plan on keeping it going.   I've been through a nasty divorce, moved a couple of times and on a brighter note have been promoted twice in the past year!

I have been working on getting my crafting space together and while doing so have found much inspiration.  I've got a few projects in works and will share in the next couple of days.

Thank you for not giving up on me.....even though there were days that I felt like giving up on myself.

Scraps to Treasures challenge - Summer Fun

Wow, it's been a while.   I've been so busy with family things and personal things that I just haven't had time.....scratch that....I haven't made the time to get scrappy. Now that things have settled down I have been able to sit at the table and create.  What a great feeling!!!!

This month for our Scraps to Treasures challenge we were to create something that shows Summer Fun.  There are so many things that ran through my head but this wreath is what I came up with:

Now be sure to link up your own Summer Fun project over at the Scraps to Treasures blog for your chance to win a small crafty RAK.

Welcome to our "FRAMES BLOG HOP"

Brought to you by our Krazy Crafting Crew. We are an independent hop team that enjoys sharing out work with everyone and hope to inspire you with new ideas for you own creativity. We are a team who loves to do all different themes, such as cards, layouts, 3D projects and so much more. We do all the paper crafting from traditional to digital. Mostly traditional, every now and then there may be a little mixed media too!

Now on to some fun.

Here is my project I have made for today’s hop

I love how easy it is to change out back ground papers to change the look for this "dry erase board" made from a picture frame.

Thank you for coming by and hope to see you again next month!

Scraps to Treasures Challenge - Babies Galore

Welcome to Scraps to Treasures Challenge ~~ Babies Galore!!

This week, to celebrate the birth of my 6th Grand Baby, we are creating Baby Projects.  What a fun way to celebrate and make the time go by just a little faster.  Altho my daughter keeps saying to baby, "it's time to GET OOUUUUTTT!!!" that baby will be here when he or she is good and ready!

So, to celebrate and welcome that little bundle of joy, I made this card:

I used all scraps for this card.  I even used the scrap piece of vellum for the back ground.

Be sure to hop on over to Scraps to Treasures and link up your project for a chance to win a RAK.

Lissa Marie has provided a layout sketch and a card sketch for the team to go with, and have them show you their take on how they will interprate this piece of art. We only have to do one or the other. Stick around for the blog candy that Lissa is giving away for those who have hopped by. Here is the sketches courtousy to Google on the layout and a sketch Lissa reinterpretated the scraplift from card she saw on Google.. oh yes, she is a scraplifter!

I created this card "base" using the sketch that was provided.  I am going to give this to one of my grand daughters but haven't decided which one, so that's why the sentiment isn't on the card yet.  I'll have an updated photo of the finished card soon.

Cuttin' and Stampin' Weekly Challenge - Color Combination

January 28 - February 3, 2014

Weekly Challenge - Color Combination
Pink, Orange and Grey

A while back Teresa Collins introduced her You are My Happy line. The design team went crazy over it. We decided that it could be used in SO many wonderful ways that we couldn't put just one theme to it. The challenge for you is to use the colors in the line to create a project.

Before I share my project I want to say that it has been my privilege to be a part of this wonderful Team.  I will continue to follow Cuttin' and Stampin' and participate in their challenges.

Here is the card I made:

You can link your project HERE for your chance to win.
