Home Decor and More Blog Hop - Day 1

Welcome to the Home Decor & More blog hop. This is a 2 day event, so be sure and join us both days for even more projects! Our host is Cicily the Pink Dalmatian Scrapbooker. If you came from Lissa Maries's blog then you're in the right spot. If you want to start from the beginning than head on over to Cicily's blog (our Awesome hostess) and hop your way thru some amazing home decor.

The Pink Dalmatian is giving away blog candy, you can see all the details on her post. Some of the other hoppers may be giving away candy to so be sure & check them out.

We all have drawers, closets & possibly rooms full of scrapbooking supplies. Those beautiful, colorful supplies don't have to be limited to our pages. We hope to inspire you to use your supplies in Home Decor projects that add that special touch to our homes.

I decided to make something for my daughter's room so I made this faux Chandelier for her in the colors that we used in her room.

I punched circles from the papers and attached them (back to back) sandwiched around fishing line that I tied to a hand made frame.  If I did this again I would purchase a premade frame or use metal rings instead of using wire.

Thanks for stopping & looking at my Home Decor project, be sure & stop again tomorrow for my second Decor item.

We love comments & you should too, they get you entries into the blog candy giveaways! Now head on over to Melissa's blog to see her awesome creation.

In case you get detoured along the way, here's the blog lineup:

  2. That is such a pretty idea, Robin. Thank you for the inspiration. I may do something like this for my craft room, though punching butterflies out of each of the different designer papers I have. It will serve as sort of a catalogue of what I have in stock, if I take the time to do it the right way.

  10. I love it! I think I may make one with peace symbols on it for my daughter - if I can find a pre made wire hanger. Don't think I'm as handy as you to make my own. TFS:-)
