Let's Talk Turkey Blog Hop - Day 2

For my project I have created.....This cute Turkey card! 

I started with a brown base, added patterned paper on the bottom 1/3 then layered with green cardstock punched with my border punch.  The turkey body is free handed and the tail feathers are made by cutting 1" x 1 1/2" strips and rounding one corner then fanning the out.  The eyes and feet are drawn on using a gel pen, the beak and warbler are cut free hand.  A ribbon was also added.

For my project I have created.....  A cute little candy nuget wrapper!

I created this by covering a Hershey nugget candy with a strip of brown paper.  The tail is made using 3 scallop circles trimmed flat on the bottom so it sits correctly.  The face is a punched circle, with a triangle for a beak and free hand cut the warbler.  The had it made with a black square and black strip a little longer than the square.  I then took a strip of white paper and made the "buckle" with black and white squares.  I just drew the eyes on the face.

Beautiful tags -- I am a major fan of rosettes!! My fav memory is when my youngest was about 6, my brother, who does professional-like makeup, sculpted my son and himself as Frankensteins.
