Welcome to the School's Out For Summer blog hop. If you arrived her from Liz's blog you are in the right place. If not, please start from the beginning with our awesome hostess Katina.
Since the school year is done (or almost done) we decided to show you what that means to us. This is day one of our TWO DAY hop so be sure to come back tomorrow to see what we have to share.
For this hop I made little Graduation Cap Goodie Boxes.
Be sure to fill them with some goodies:
I used half of a toilet paper tube for the bottom and then wrapped it in black paper, leaving about 1/2 inch overlap on the bottom. Cut the overlap into strips so when you fold it over to create a base to glue your circle base onto. Then I took a piece of paper and rolled it smaller than the bottom (so it fits inside) and used 1/2 inch to cut the strips and create the base to glue on the cap top. The top of the cap is a 2 1/2 inch square. I used bakers twine to create a tassle and adhered it with a brad.
I hope you enjoyed this little project that is fun and easy to make. Now you are off to Jearise's blog. See you tomorrow for Day 2!!!
Happy Scrapping
Robin

CUTE project, Robin -- and gosh, I sure do have quite a collection of TP empties collected. I think I could give one to everyone in a graduating class, I have so many. (Thanks, Hubster, LOL!!!) I appreciate you, and the inspiration you share.

Very cute Robin, I love little goodie containers!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool idea! People have been telling me that it's great to save empty toilet paper and paper towel tubes, so I've been saving away without a clue what to do with them! Lol. Since my brother will be graduating from high school next week, recreating your treat holders sounds like a fabulous idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing!
