Welcome to the Altered Journal Blog Hop.  If you arrived here from Connie's blog you are in the right place.  If you just dropped in, please start at the beginning with Melissa's blog

Our sponsor is:

She has two Cuttlebug folders as BLOG CANDY!

I have been on a weight loss journey for the past several months.  I keep track of my exercise (which is very limited at this time), my food and my thoughts overall.  If I had to write in the first page of my journal I would most likely be my food intake for the day.  I find it helpful to keep track of what I eat in order to keep healthy and to see where I can make changes for weight loss.

Here is my journal I made for my purse:

Winter snow is falling down
Children laughing all around
Lights are turning on
Like a fairy tale come true....

...And I'm thankful every day
For the gift.
     (The Gift song lyrics)

We couldn't have gifts and presents without the tags so everyone can peek to see if they are getting the biggest present!  That's why we had this Christmas Tag Swap.

We have a special present for you:  Two lucky hoppers will win a set of tags that were featured in this hop!  To be eligible to win, you need to leave a comment on EACH blog stop in the hop.

If you just happened to drop in, please start at the beginning with Ellen's blog.  Be sure to read her blog for any Blog Candy instructions on how to win.

If you arrived here from Lucy's blog you are in the right spot.,

Here are my tags for Swapping!

I punched out the snowflakes from the white pieces of scrap paper and adhered them to the red and green papers after I embossed them.  The tags with the "negative" punch I backed with patterned paper.  I added a ribbon and put TO: and FROM: on each tag.

Home Decor and More Blog Hop

Welcome to the Home Decor and More Blog Hop.

If you arrived here from Maria' blog you are in the right spot.  If you just happened to drop by, please start at the beginning with our awesome hostess Cicily.  Cicily is giving away BLOG CANDY so be sure you have read the instructions on her blog on how to win.

I made this wreath using a petal shape that I cut using my Art Philosophy cartridge from Close to My Heart.  I glued plain red ones to a circle base, then I rolled the red/green ones and glued them in between the points of the bases. I then made a bow and added a brooch pin to the center.  I used a tab from a soda can for a hanger.

Halloween Party Decor Blog Hop

Welcome to the Halloween Party Decor Blog Hop.

If you arrived here from Ashley's blog you are in the right place.  If not, please start at the beginning with our fantastic hostess Shannon.

I made some cupcake picks using a scallop punch and the Art Philosophy cartridge from Close to My Heart to cut the photo corners.  I inked the edges of the corner punches and adhered them to the back of the scallop punch, staggering them.  Then I added googly eyes and a popcicle stick to the back.  I will put them in the cupcakes on party day!

I also made some treat boxes.  I created the same spiders as above and I used the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut out the pillow boxes from halloween paper.  Filled them with treats and topped with a cute little spider!

You can't have a party without a banner....so I created this banner using the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the scallop circles and photo corners, then assembled as I did above.  Then I taped the to a piece of twine to create the banner.

I decided to make Picture Frame Mats for the kiddos so they can put pictures of themselves in their Halloween Costumes in them.

Here I have one in the frame and one out of the frame.  I used cardboard to cut the base and covered it with scrapbook paper.  The opening in the center is 4 x 6 inches.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow for another great Octoberfest project.

Fall Home Decor Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Fall Home Decor Blog Hop.

If you arrived here from Judy's blog you are in the right spot.  If you just happend to drop in, please start at the beginning at Shannon's blog.

This is the time of year when the leaves are turning colors, the weather is getting cooler and is one of my favorite times of the year.  I enjoy decorating for Fall so I created this Pumpkin "Tower".

I had the little green bucket and used a dowel to adhere the cardboard circles to.  I just painted the circles orange and added a face to create the pumpkins.  Then I tied on some scraps of ribbon, put some stones in the bucket to hold the dowel up and there you have it.  I love this cute little decoration that fits very nicely in the corner of the counter in my bathroom.

Thanks for hopping with us today.

Candy Corn Blog Hop

Welcome to our Candy Corn Blog Hop.

If you arrived here from Jessi's blog you are in the right spot.  If you just dropped in, please start at the beginning with Jearise's blog.

My project is a card I made for one of my grandkids.

I simply cut a triangle card using my cricut and rounded the corners.  I embossed the tip of the base.  Then I cut 2 inch high strips of yellow and orange and I embossed the yellow.  I adhered and trimmed them, then added on the google eyes and drew the face.  I used punches for the sentiment.
