Krazy Crafting Crew - Autumn Colors Blog Hop - Day 1

Welcome to the Krazy Crafting Crew's monthly hop. This month's theme is "Autumn Colors." Our creative crew has been busy creating beautiful and fun projects with the colors of autumn so please take a hop through to see their projects and to leave a comment of encouragement.

Our hostess for this month is Katina if you have stumbled upon the hop and want to see it all that's were to go. She will have the full line up posted in case you began in the middle of the hop or find a broken link. If you have come from Liz's blog you are coming right along.

We also have a special sponsor each month - Scrapbook Stamp Society

They would love to reward one special blog visitor with a prize from their store. To be qualified for their drawing, please comment on all participating blogs and let them know you have.

You can receive extra entries for following them on Facebook at (http://www.facebook.com/groups/205539419562521/) and for commenting on the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog (http://addicted-to-stamps.blogspot.com/).

Here is my project for the Krazy Crafting Crew:

I made this from pieces of 2 x 4's cut to about 8 inches tall.  I then took a brown paper lunch bag, cut off the bottom, cut along the seam of the bag then crumpled them up.  I opened them up and covered the blocks leaving the bottom of the wood block exposed.  Then I took a piece of 6 x 12 inch patterned paper and wrapped it around.  After this I took a piece of fabric and ripped it into strips then wrapped it around the block.  Then I added some fall floral stems and raffia bows with hot glue and then tied the fabric around them.  Finally I cut out my letters and added them to the front.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and don't forget to return for day two tomorrow with another wonderful autumn project.  Now please continue on to Jearise's blog.

Scraps to Treasure August Layout Blog Hop - Day 1

Welcome to day one of the Scraps To Treasures August hop.

This weekend we have several amazing crafters lined up to show you their interpretation of this sketch.  Some are hopping today and some are hopping tomorrow.  Be sure to stop by both days to see all our fabulous projects.

And this is what I came up with:

I pulled out my scrap box and just sifted through until I found these  papers that went well together.  I stitched the two background pieces together to get my 12 x 12 base, then I used scraps to create the rest of the page.  I had these left over crowns from three different packages.

BLOG CANDY:

Recyce / Reuse Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the Recycle/Reuse Blog Hop. This hop is all about pulling out that garbage or the old stuff that has been sitting around forever and creating a wonderful project.

If you arrived here from Maria's blog you are in the right place.  If you just happened to drop in, please start at the beginning with our awesome hostess Shannon so you don't miss any wonderful projects.

We have Scrapbook Stamp society sponsoring us today . They are giving away 3 free digi stamps. Our hostess Shannon will also be giving away a set of flowers of her choosing from her Etsy store that you can visit here.   Please be sure to stop by and leave a comment on each blog to be entered to win.

I decided to get a jump start on Halloween goodies for the kiddos.  I used toilet paper rolls to make these:

Frst I wrapped the toilet paper tubes in halloween paper, then I stapled them shut on one end filled them with "goodies" then stapled them shut at the other end the opposite way as the bottom to create the "sour cream" packet.  Then I used my cricut to cut the spiders out and attached them with pop dots.  I bent the legs of the spiders to give them more dimension.

Now you are off to Amanda's blog to see what she created with recycled items.

Here is the lineup in case you get lost along the way.

Tell A Joke Blog Hop

What do cows do for entertainment? They go to the moo-vies. Hardy, har, har.

Our "Tell a Joke Blog Hop" will have you laughing all the way through the line up. Each blogger has crafted a great project but also added a laugh. If you arrived here from Miriam's blog you are in the right spot.  If not, be sure to start with Jearise over at Lorby's World and I'm sure you'll be crying from laughing so hard by the time you get through out line up.

Jearise at Lorby's World has a give away so make sure you stop by and become a follower of hers and leave a comment!

Here's my Joke:

Two robins were lying on their backs, basking in the sun.  A mama cat and her kitten were walking by.  The kitten complained, "Mamma, I'm soooo hungry.  What can we eat?"  To which the mama cat, spying the two birds, replied, "How about some Baskin' Robbins?"

And here is my Project:

I made this note holder / pad using a clear 4 x 6 easel picture frame.  I turned it upside down so that the stand is at the top.  I inserted a piece of patterned paper (from my scrap basket so I don't know the paper line) and I used small glue dots to hold it in place at the top.  I applied the post it note pad with tacky tape.  When the pad is empty you can peel the backing off of a new pad and place it on the backing that is glued to the frame.  I then made a small tag message that I slipped the ribbon thru and tied it around the top.  (this hides the small glue dots used to hold the paper in place.)

Thank you for stopping by and please on continue on to Lisa's blog to see what she has created and for another laugh from her joke.

Here is the entire line up in case you get lost along the way.

Easel Card Blog Hop

Welcome to the Easel Card Blog Hop.  We always make the same old type of cards and it was time for us to "spread our wings" and try something new.  We decided that an Easel Card would be an interesting type of card to share with our followers.

If you arrived here from Michelle's blog then you are in the right place.  If you just dropped by and want to start at the beginning please visit our Fabulous Hostess Ashley.

For my card I did a simple easel card for a friend of mine.

I used Studio G papers on grey cardstock for the background.  I also used black cardstock for the inside piece.

Thank you for stopping by.  Now you are off to An'Jenic's blog.

Polka Day with a Twist - Blog Hop

Umpa pa. Umpa pa. Umpa pa. We are celebrating national polka day but adding a twist. Polka is to music and to DOT so we have created things that have POLKA DOTS on them. How fun! Instead of making Polka music our talented crafters have made things with dots on them.

If you arrived here from Jessi's blog you are in the right spot.  If not, start with Jearise and don't forget to leave a comment and become a follower of hers because she's giving away something or other.

Here are my polka dots...

I decided to make these cute little "shoes" for my scrap weekend ladies.  This one I did in Polka dots but theirs I used colored zebra stripes.  These are fancy little shoes that hold goodies in them.

I especially like the glitter and glitz that the flower on the toe adds.

Thank you for stopping by and please continue on to Lisa's blog.
