Bunnies and Blossoms Banner Hop for Special Needs Children

Welcome to the Bunnies and Blossoms Banner Hop for Special Needs Children.  If you arrived from Vicki's blog you came from the right place.

Today and yesterday (March 24-25), 30+fantastic papercrafters have come together to create Spring-themed banners. They will then donate these banners to Ellen (CardMonkey), who works as Admissions Coordinator at Pediatric Specialty Care (PSC),

PSC is a long-term care facility for special needs children who are medically-fragile and/or technologically-dependent. The babies, children and youths at PSC range in age from birth to 21, and are admitted from all over the country.
Some are infants, born prematurely and before their lungs have had a chance to mature. Others have serious birth defects, illnesses or injuries from accidents that cause them to need tender loving care in a home-like environment -- many for their lifetimes.

Our banners are meant to cheer the young patients, their families, and the staff at PSC. Here is the banner that I made and will be sending to Ellen to decorate a child's room:

I used the Art Philosophy Cartridge from Close to My Heart to make my banner.

We DO have a tasty bit of blog candy to thank you for visiting us today! What's the prize??!

How about a beautiful handmade (courtesy of our Blog Hop Hostess, CardMonkey!) Cricut Cozy Covers?! Each one is individually styled in your pick of colors and embroidered words! These are RARE because CardMonkey does not make them for sale and she usually sticks to paper, not sewing!!

To qualify, there are two steps: 1. Comment on as many Bunny & Blossoms Blog Hop blogs as you wish -- the more blogs on which you comment, the more chances you have to win. There will only be one winner, picked at random by Random.Org.

2. Follow and comment on the CardMonkey blog ... Leave a comment on our Hop Hostess's site ( and let her know if your name is picked, what 2 accent colors you'd like on your Cricut Cozy Cover, andw hat text you'd like embroidered (up to 3 lines). You MUST be a follower of the CardMonkey blog to win and you MUST leave a way for her to contact you if your name is picked.

So now .... onto your next stop on the Bunnies and Blossoms Banner Hop:  Jennifer's blog

DO check out Ellen's blog to see the banners from yesterday's line up.

Altered Item - Spring Project

This week's project over at Queen of My Craftroom Design Team is to take an item and alter it for Spring.  Be sure to link your project using Mr. Linky on Michelle's blog.

I started with this:

I took out the flowers, painted the pot white, added ribbons around the rim, painted wooden skewers to use as the stems.  I glimmer misted the flowers and added brads for the centers and attached them to the skewers using glue dots.  Here is my finished project:

Our Favorite Things Blog Candy Extravaganza Blog Hop

Welcome to the Our Favorite Things Blog Candy Extravaganza! Yoiu should have just come from Wendy's blog. If you are just joining the hop and want to start from the beginning, please start at Dena's blogThis is going to be an amazing event! Many of you are familiar with Oprah Winfrey's famous "Favorite Things" show where audience members walk away with an array of fabulous gifts. It was always so fun to see how excited the audience members got with each giveaway. Well, if you've always wished you could sit in the audience of one of those show tapings, we have the next best thing for you!

Each participant in this hop is going to share a favorite of hers. It could be a craft-related item or a non-craft related item. In addition to that, each blogger is giving away blog candy! This means you have a chance to win at every stop!

Each blogger has her own rules for winning her blog candy, so please be sure to read the rules on each blog for a chance to win.

Without further ado, here is the project I created for this hop:

My favorite things to use on my layouts are brads.  I also like to use stamps so my Blog Candy is this Treasures clear stamp set from Close To My Heart:

To be entered into the BLOG CANDY drawing you must:
  • Be a follower of my blog
  • Leave a comment telling me your favorite thing, crafty or non crafty.
That's it, easy as pie.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed what I shared with you today. Please be sure to hop on over to Ashley's blog to see what she has to share with you and for more blog candy fun! Happy hopping and good luck to you!
